The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ) has just won an important contract with the European Space Agency (ESA) to create the start-up incubator ESA BIC Switzerland (ESA Business Incubation Center). This incubator will offer the most attractive support programmes ever available for young companies in Switzerland. Selected start-ups will obtain financial support up to CHF 500’000.-, as well as technological and commercial support. The programme will last at least five years and will have the capacitiy to work with up to 10 companies each year.
The mandate was given to a consortium made up of 50 companies and prestigious organisations around the ETHZ. P&TS is extremely happy to be part of this consortium and to have been chosen as the only specialist in intellectual property. We are looking forward to advising the selected start-ups in order to propose the patent strategies and technological valuations that will allow them to develop rapidly and in a stable manner.
In less than two years since the opening of an office in Zurich, this success is another recognition of the quality of service offered by P&TS in terms of high technology and advice to start-ups. Moreover we are sure that it will allow us to reinforce our technological expertise in fields as diverse as the l’Internet of objects (IoT), drones and autonomous systems, in which we are already developing a considerable degree of activity.
